Republic of Ireland: Three road deaths over bank holiday weekend

Three people have died in separate road crashes in the Republic of Ireland over the bank holiday weekend. One man, a motorcyclist aged in his 50s, died in a collision involving two motorcycles and an SUV near Dunmahon in County Louth at about 12:30 local time on Sunday. Another man, aged in his 60s, died following a single-car crash in County Roscommon, also on Sunday. In the early hours of Saturday morning, a man in his 20s died in a single-vehicle crash in Finglas, County Dublin. Gardaí (Irish police) are appealing appealing for any witnesses, or road users with camera footage, to contact them. Leona Harper was one of 10 victims of an unexplained explosion at a service station four years ago. She was a renowned Irish dancer who performed the lead role of Saoirse in the Lord of the Dance. The threshold at which people start paying the higher income tax rate is also expected to increase.
