Garmin's new smartwatch for kids costs more than the Apple Watch SE
Garmin has announced a new version of its Bounce smartwatch for kids, the Bounce 2. The key highlight is the high price tag of $300, which is twice the cost of the previous generation and $50 more than an Apple Watch SE. The Bounce 2 features a rounded 1.2-inch AMOLED display, a significant design change from the square-ish appearance of the original. It offers improved communication capabilities, including voice message transcription and phone calls, which were not available in the previous model. The smartwatch also provides GPS tracking and a battery life of two days between charges. However, the music playback feature is limited to Amazon Music subscriptions, and all communication features require a separate subscription to one of Garmin's in-house plans, costing $10 per month or $100 annually. The Bounce 2 is now available for purchase in three different color options.
