Intel’s August GPU drivers boost Windows responsiveness and gaming FPS

Intel has released new graphics drivers (version 32.0.101.6987) for its Arc and other GPU series. According to tests, these drivers provide significant performance improvements, with an increase in FPS (frames per second) of 5-6% in various games. Additionally, the new drivers improve Windows responsiveness, resulting in smoother animations. The drivers also introduce a new feature called "Shared GPU Memory Override," which allows users to select how much of their system memory the integrated Arc GPU can use. Furthermore, the drivers have been optimized to consume fewer resources, potentially leading to slightly longer battery life on laptops. The new drivers are compatible with a wide range of Intel graphics chips, including the Arc B-Series and A-Series, Iris Xe, and various generations of Intel Core processors. They are available for download on Windows 11, Windows 10 64-bit, and Windows 10 22H2 and 21H2 operating systems. Users can obtain the new drivers by searching for updates in the Intel Graphics Software app or by downloading them directly from the Intel download portal or using the Intel Driver and Support Assistant.
