Fujifilm’s bringing instant cameras into the selfie age
Fujifilm has announced the Instax Mini LiPlay Plus, an updated version of its 2019 instant camera. The new model features a similar functionality, including the ability to print digital photos on Instax Mini instant film and record audio clips to accompany the images. The LiPlay Plus now has a boxier design, a larger 3-inch LCD display, and a second wide-angle rear-facing camera for better selfie capture. The camera can combine front and rear camera images into a single shot using four different templates. The audio recording time has been reduced from 10 seconds to 3 seconds. The companion mobile app allows for image editing, filtering, and remote camera control. The LiPlay Plus is expected to launch in late October 2025 with a price tag of $234.95, along with a new Soft Glitter Mini instant film.
