Waymo is headed to Nashville in 2026

Waymo, a leading autonomous driving company, is expanding its services to Nashville, Tennessee, with plans to start autonomous driving operations in the city in the coming months and open up to the public by 2026. The company currently operates in five U.S. cities, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin, and Atlanta, and is also planning to expand to Denver, Seattle, Miami, and Washington D.C., as well as its first international location, Tokyo. In addition, Waymo has received permission from New York City to start test rides, though with a human driver behind the wheel initially. Waymo's partnership with Lyft will allow users in Nashville to hail Waymo rides through the Lyft app, further expanding the company's reach.
