Zoning out in meetings? Google Meet's new feature can catch you up in real time

Google's new "Ask Gemini" feature for Google Meet aims to help users stay caught up during meetings. The feature provides real-time meeting notes, summaries, and key points, which can be particularly useful for those who miss parts of the discussion. The feature is currently in beta testing and is available only to select Google Workspace customers. When enabled, users can ask Gemini questions like "What was the last topic discussed?" or "Can you summarize the key points so far?" and receive concise responses. The goal is to help participants stay engaged and informed, even if they need to step away or become distracted during a meeting. Google hopes the feature will improve productivity and collaboration by ensuring everyone is on the same page.
