Hori’s new Switch 2 controller lets you deactivate its home and screenshot buttons

Hori, a Japanese gaming accessory manufacturer, has announced the Wireless Horipad Turbo, a new controller for the Nintendo Switch 2 that is priced around $35 cheaper than Nintendo's own Switch 2 Pro Controller. While the Horipad Turbo lacks some premium features like Amiibo support and remote wake capability, it includes a unique lock button on the back that can disable the Home and Screenshot buttons to prevent accidental presses during gameplay. The controller is available for preorder in Japan and is expected to launch before the end of the year, though there are no details yet on a potential US release or pricing. The Horipad Turbo features a similar design to the Switch 2 Pro Controller, including a game chat button, and uses drift-resistant TMR joysticks. It also offers the ability to remap button functionality and activate rapid-fire.
