Amazon yanks Sengled’s Alexa skill after a series of service outages
Amazon has removed Sengled's Alexa skill due to a series of prolonged service outages that left many users unable to control their Sengled smart bulbs using Alexa. While some Sengled bulbs may still offer direct Alexa control through Zigbee, Matter, or Bluetooth, those that can't be connected directly will no longer be controllable via the voice assistant. Sengled lights and devices may still be manageable through the Sengled app or other smart home platforms, but the reliability of these connections remains uncertain. Amazon has stated that it holds a high standard for the Alexa experience, and the repeated issues with Sengled's Alexa skill have prompted the decision to remove it permanently from the skill store. Users are advised to try connecting their Sengled bulbs directly to Alexa to regain voice control functionality.
