Dublin Airport: Man dies after being hit by a bus

A man in his 60s has died after he was hit by a bus at Dublin Airport. It happened shortly after midnight on Thursday on the Corballis Road - the main road between Dublin Airport and the roundabout at the front of the airport grounds. Gardaí (Irish police) said they attended along with emergency services and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. A partial road closure is in place at the main access route into Dublin Airport with diversions in place and police have advised motorists to allow extra time for any journeys. Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them. Previously, passengers were able to use other forms of ID, such as driving licences and national identity cards. It is unclear when the new service between the two cities will begin, with doubts raised about the planned October start date.
