OxygenOS 16 has new lock screen customization options and a novel Gemini integration

OnePlus has unveiled OxygenOS 16, its latest Android 16-based operating system, which will debut on the upcoming OnePlus 15. The key features include: 1. Deeper integration between the "Mind Space" app and Google Gemini, allowing users to personalize Gemini's responses using content stored in Mind Space. 2. New AI-powered features, such as AI Writer for text-to-mind map conversion, social media caption generation, and AI Portrait Glow and AI Perfect Shot for photo editing. 3. Improved customization options, including the ability to customize the lock screen with different fonts, layouts, animated GIFs, and video backgrounds. 4. Smoother animations and faster app loading times through the Parallel Processing 2.0 system. 5. Expanded tablet multitasking features and new connectivity options to mirror the phone screen on macOS or Windows computers. OxygenOS 16 will be available on the OnePlus 15 and recent OnePlus devices starting in November 2025.
