Spotify's Audiobooks+ add-on is now available to some Premium subscribers
Spotify, known primarily for music and podcasts, has introduced a new add-on subscription called Audiobooks+ for its Premium subscribers. The add-on provides an additional 15 hours of audiobook listening per month, doubling the existing 15 hours included in the base Premium plan. The Audiobooks+ add-on is currently available in several European countries, Australia, and New Zealand, and is expected to launch in the US in the coming weeks. Pricing for the add-on varies by market, with the UK price set at £9 per month (around $12). For Premium Family and Duo plan subscribers, the plan manager must purchase the Audiobooks+ add-on, and they can also buy a one-time top-up of 10 hours if they run out before their entitlement resets each month. Spotify also offers a separate Audiobooks Access plan in the US, which includes access to music and podcasts with ads, in addition to audiobooks.
