Like many other sim games, Pokemon Pokopia features a day-night cycle based on your real-world clock. Certain tasks can take a whole day to complete, while others a few hours. Some will use "time travel" (adjusting your Nintendo Switch 2's clock to manipulate time in-game) to get around waiting or to jump to planned events. So the short of it: There are limitations on going back, but going forward isn't a problem. I'm Miranda 🐻, IGN's reluctant Pokopia Time Travel tester, and here's everything you need to know about its limitations and how you can use it to your benefit. Plus, other considerations you may want to keep in mind. In my testing, I've found Pokopia is an immensely forgiving game when it comes to time travel. If you set your clock to a previous date in time, Pokopia seems to think you are playing the last day you were on. So if you go back two days, it interprets you as not playing a new day. Consequences of this include: If you're time traveling to the beginning of an event, make sure you at least go to 5 AM on the day of the event so that it kicks off. 5 AM is sunrise and the start of a new day in Pokopia!
