Spotify lossless streaming is finally here and it's included with a Premium plan
Spotify is finally rolling out a lossless audio streaming option for its Premium subscribers at no additional cost. The feature, called Spotify Lossless, is being introduced in over 50 markets globally by the end of October 2025. Spotify Lossless offers up to 24-bit/44.1 kHz FLAC streaming, providing higher-quality audio compared to the regular Spotify streaming. However, users will need to enable the feature manually on each device they use. The lossless option is available on mobile, desktop, and tablet devices, as well as many Spotify Connect-compatible devices. Spotify advises that the best lossless experience is achieved when using wired headphones or speakers on non-Bluetooth connections, as Bluetooth currently lacks the necessary bandwidth to support lossless audio without compression.
