Adobe Premiere is coming to iOS later this month

Adobe is bringing its popular Premiere video editing software to iOS devices, including iPhones, later this month. The free app will offer a range of core features found in the desktop version, such as a multi-track timeline, the ability to splice footage, and the option to add various layers of video, text, and audio, including voiceovers. The app will allow users to export their videos directly to platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram with a single tap. It will also include Adobe Lightroom color presets to help users enhance the look of their footage. While the app will be free, users can purchase additional features, such as AI-powered tools for sound effects and speech enhancement, as well as extra cloud storage. The move is seen as a response to the rise of free video editing apps like CapCut, as well as Instagram's own video editor. Adobe's decision to offer Premiere for free on iOS is unusual for the company, which has traditionally focused on subscription-based models for its software.
