Trump Threatens NBC, ABC Licenses Over News Coverage

In a series of tweets, US President Donald Trump criticized NBC and ABC, two major US television networks, for their news coverage, which he deemed "biased." Trump threatened to support the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in revoking the licenses of the networks' television stations. The President's remarks came in response to a news report by NBC News that alleged Secretary of State Rex Tillerson had called Trump a "moron" and had considered resigning. Trump dismissed the report as "fake news" and claimed the networks are "two of the worst and most biased" in history. The threat to revoke the networks' licenses raised concerns about the potential abuse of presidential power to influence or retaliate against media outlets for their critical coverage of the administration. Experts argued that the FCC's license-granting process is intended to be independent and not subject to political pressure.
