MSI's latest Cubi NUC AI+ 2MG mini PC is a compact desktop with smart speaker-like features. It boasts a dedicated Copilot button and fingerprint reader, allowing voice control and biometric authentication. Starting at $899, the PC is powered by Intel's Core Ultra Series 2 "Lunar Lake" chips, with options for either a Core Ultra 9 288V or Core Ultra 7 258V processor. The design includes a speaker and built-in microphone, enabling voice interactions with virtual assistants like Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT. The mini PC measures 5.3 x 5.2 x 2.0 inches and weighs around 1.5 pounds, making it a portable option. Users can configure it with up to 32GB of LPDD5X memory and a 1TB SSD, with a starting price of $899 for a bare-bones model. Despite lacking a dedicated GPU, the integrated Lunar Lake GPU and 48 TOPS NPU are expected to handle Microsoft's AI applications, such as Windows Studio Effects.
