DuckDuckGo's subscription now offers some of the latest chatbots from OpenAI and Anthropic

DuckDuckGo, the privacy-focused search engine, has expanded its subscription service to include access to advanced AI chatbots from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta. The subscription, now called the DuckDuckGo subscription, offers users the ability to use models like GPT-4o, GPT-5, Sonnet 4.0, and Llama 4 Maverick, while ensuring that their conversations with these chatbots are anonymized and their data will not be used for training future systems. The subscription price remains unchanged at $10 per month or $100 billed annually, and it still includes DuckDuckGo's VPN, personal information removal, and identity protection services. Users who do not wish to use the AI chatbots can hide the AI buttons in their browser settings. DuckDuckGo is also exploring the possibility of offering higher subscription tiers with access to even more advanced AI models in the future.
