JBL has announced its largest-ever battery-powered party speaker, the PartyBox 720. This speaker boasts 800W of power and up to 15 hours of playtime with a replaceable battery. It features two 9-inch woofers, a pair of 30mm dome tweeters, and JBL's proprietary AI Sound Boost technology for increased audio without distortion. The PartyBox offers multi-speaker connectivity via Auracast and USB-C connectivity for direct audio streaming. The PartyBox is priced at $1,099 and will be available for pre-order on September 21. In addition, JBL announced the Boombox 4, an iterative update of the Boombox 3 portable Bluetooth speaker. The Boombox 4 features the same AI Sound Boost technology and is nearly two pounds lighter than its predecessor. It is IP68 water and dustproof, integrates with Auracast for linking to other speakers, and has a replaceable battery with up to 28 hours of playtime. The Boombox 4 is priced at $550 and will be available for pre-order on September 28.
