7 brand-new emojis are coming to your keyboard soon
The Unicode Consortium has announced the latest version of its standard, which includes 7 brand-new emojis and 156 new variants for existing emojis. The new emojis include a "distorted face," a "fight cloud," an "orca" or "killer whale," a "hairy creature," a "trombone," a "landslide," and a "treasure chest." Additionally, the update includes gender-neutral ballet dancers in different skin tones and more skin tone variants for existing emojis like "people with bunny ears" and "people wrestling." The new emojis are expected to be available on emoji keyboards towards the end of 2025, with the exact look varying between platforms.
