Honor’s Magic V5 foldable almost feels too thin

Honor's Magic V5 foldable smartphone is a sleek and lightweight device, measuring just 8.8mm folded and 4.1mm open. Despite its svelte design, the device is built with aerospace-grade materials to ensure durability. The V5 features a 6.43-inch cover display and a 7.95-inch main screen, both of which support Honor's MagicPen stylus. Under the hood, the V5 packs a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. It also boasts a 5,820mAh battery with AI-powered power management for up to 50 hours of use on a single charge. The camera system includes a 50MP primary camera, a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The Honor Magic V5 is priced at €1,999 (around $2,317) in the EU and £1,699 (around $2,283) in the UK, putting it in the same price range as Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7. While the device offers impressive specifications and a sleek design, the author questions whether Honor is not being aggressive enough in undercutting its rivals.
