Samsung’s new party speakers are less subtle than ever

Samsung has unveiled two new "Sound Tower" speakers that feature more prominent and dynamic lighting effects than its previous Giga line of party speakers. The larger ST50F model boasts 240W of output, 18 hours of battery life, and integrated wheels for $699.99, while the smaller ST40F offers 160W of power, 12 hours of battery, and a non-rollable design for $499.99. Both speakers sport large LED "racetrack-style" light strips across the front, as well as additional lights around the tweeters, the edge of the body, the base, and even the underside of the handle, offering six different dynamic lighting patterns and five "mood" presets, catering to those who prioritize eye-catching visual effects over more subtle audio experiences.
