Firefox provides AI page summaries if you shake your iPhone

Firefox, the web browser, has introduced a new feature that provides AI-generated page summaries for iOS users in the US. This feature allows users to quickly get a summary of any webpage with 5,000 words or less by shaking their device, tapping the thunderbolt icon, or accessing the three-dot menu. The summaries are generated using either Apple Intelligence for iPhone 15 or newer devices on iOS 26, or Mozilla's cloud-based AI for older devices. This feature follows the launch of Firefox's Link Previews, which used AI to preview a link's content. The article emphasizes that this feature is currently only available for English-language iOS users in the US, and users can also turn off the summaries in settings if they prefer.
