Assassin's Creed Mirage will get fresh content later this year and it'll be completely free
Assassin's Creed Mirage, the latest installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise, will receive a new story chapter and missions featuring protagonist Basim. The upcoming DLC, which will be completely free, will take players to the ninth-century city of alUla. Ubisoft has also confirmed that the new content and the base game will receive gameplay improvements, with a focus on open-world design and stealth combat. The announcement comes after a report earlier this year that suggested the new content was created through a partnership between Ubisoft and Savvy Games Group, a gaming and esports company backed by the Saudi Arabian government. While the developer, Stephane Boudon, had previously stated that Mirage was designed as a standalone experience without any DLC plans, the team has now decided to extend the story of Basim. Ubisoft has not provided a specific release date for the upcoming DLC, but it has been confirmed that it will be available "later this year." In the meantime, Assassin's Creed Mirage has been added to the Xbox Game Pass lineup for August.
