DJI’s Mic 3 crams more features into a smaller package

DJI has unveiled the latest version of its wireless lavalier microphone system, the DJI Mic 3. The new model is significantly smaller and lighter than its predecessor, the Mic 2, while still offering enhanced features. The Mic 3 supports up to four transmitters and eight receivers, with a range of 400 meters, and it can automatically switch between 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands to maintain a stable transmission. The microphone system also includes two-level active noise cancellation and three voice tone presets to adjust audio clarity. Additionally, the Mic 3 offers 32GB of internal storage for dual-file recordings, and its battery life has been improved compared to the Mic 2. However, the pricing and release timeline for the Mic 3 in the US market are still unknown.
