Sunseeker unveils an affordable robot mower for smaller yards

Sunseeker, a manufacturer of robot lawn mowers, has unveiled its new affordable model, the L3, which is set to launch in the U.S. in January 2026 for $999. The L3 eliminates the need for boundary wires by using a combination of AI vision and LiDAR to autonomously map and navigate lawns up to 1,000 square meters (0.25 acres). It can create up to two separate maps, making it useful for more than one location. The L3 has a cutting width of 7.1 inches (18cm) and an adjustable cutting height of 0.8 to 2.4 inches (20- to 60mm), which may be too short for some American lawns. The mower is compared to the Dreame A1 Pro, a popular LiDAR-only mower in Europe, but the L3 is expected to have outstanding navigation abilities due to its use of AI and camera positioning technology.
