Pixel-art cyberpunk platformer Replaced delayed again, this time until spring 2026
The cyberpunk platformer game "Replaced" has been delayed once again, this time until spring 2026. The game, developed by Sad Cat Studio, was originally announced in 2021 with a planned release date of 2022, which did not materialize. In 2024, the company announced a release date of 2025, but that has now been pushed back further. The primary reason for the delays is the company's relocation from Belarus to a new location after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which was the main factor behind the earlier delays. The developer has apologized for the delay and stated that this decision is "what's right for the project" and that the team remains dedicated to creating a "truly special experience." Despite the setbacks, the game's trailers have generated excitement among fans. Replaced is a pixel-art cyberpunk platformer that takes inspiration from classic games like Out of this World and Flashback. Assuming there are no further delays, the game is now slated for release in spring 2026 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
