Amazon launches cellular dongle to provide backup connectivity for eero routers

The eero Signal comes in two versions: a 4G LTE model priced at $100 and a 5G model priced at $200. It features a multi-carrier eSIM that enables it to switch between cellular networks, and it automatically reconnects to the home internet once it's back online. The eero Signal is not meant for standalone use but rather as a backup solution that requires an existing primary internet connection. To use the device, users need an annual eero Plus subscription, which costs $99 per year and includes additional features like a VPN, antivirus, and password manager. For users who experience frequent internet outages, Amazon also offers an eero Plus 100 plan, which provides 100GB of backup data for $200 per year.
