Overwatch 2 will allow KBM on console, but you'll be up against PC players

Overwatch 2 will introduce a new feature that allows console players to use a keyboard and mouse (KBM) input starting with Season 18. However, these KBM console players will be matched against PC players and other KBM console players in a separate "Mouse and Keyboard Pool." Console players using a controller will be placed in a "Controller Pool" and will not face KBM players. The change in matchmaking means that players who switch to the Mouse and Keyboard Pool will have separate internal MMR, skill ratings, and ranks from their Controller Pool statistics. Additionally, KBM players will not have access to aim assist, which is available to PC players using a controller. The Overwatch 2 team has implemented this update to allow console players more flexibility in their input method, while maintaining a fair and balanced matchmaking system between KBM and controller users.
