Amazon greenlights a Life is Strange series adaptation

Amazon has greenlit a series adaptation of the popular video game "Life is Strange" for its Prime Video platform. The series will blend angsty teenage realism with supernatural elements and moral choices, following the story of Max, a photography student who discovers she can rewind time while saving her childhood best friend, Chloe. As they investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student, they uncover a dark side to their town that will force them to make an impossible life-or-death choice. The series will be created, executive produced, and showrun by British writer and actor Charlie Covell, who aims to appeal to both newcomers and fans of the games. The project involves collaboration with Square Enix, Story Kitchen, LuckyChap, and Amazon MGM Studios. This announcement comes as Amazon continues to invest in video game adaptations, with recent news of a Tomb Raider series and the upcoming second season of the acclaimed Fallout series.
