Amazon drivers could be wearing AR glasses with a built-in display next year

Amazon is developing a new pair of augmented-reality (AR) glasses, codenamed Jayhawk, which could feature a full-color display in one eye, along with built-in microphones, speakers, and a camera. The report comes as Meta is expected to reveal its "Hypernova" smart glasses, which will offer a small display for mini apps and alerts on the right lens. Amazon has also launched its third-generation Echo Frame smart glasses, but their features are less advanced than Meta's Ray-Bans. However, Amazon may release a pair of AR glasses specifically designed for delivery drivers, codenamed "Amelia," as early as next year. These glasses will have a bulkier design and a display intended to provide turn-by-turn navigation and delivery instructions to drivers.
