Atlassian is buying Arc maker The Browser Company for $610 million

Atlassian, the owner of productivity and enterprise services like Jira and Trello, is acquiring The Browser Company, the maker of the Arc and AI-centric Dia browsers, for around $610 million in an all-cash deal. The Browser Company will continue to operate independently as it builds Dia, while Arc and Arc Search will be maintained with a long-term plan to be revealed soon. Co-founders Josh Miller and Hursh Agrawal will remain as CEO and CTO, respectively, and they aim to accelerate their ambitions by teaming up with Atlassian. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of 2025, and Atlassian's vision is to make Dia the "AI browser for work" integrated with SaaS apps and personal work memory.
