Netflix sets opening dates for its destination entertainment hubs
Netflix is set to open its branded entertainment complexes, known as "Netflix Houses," in Philadelphia and Dallas. The 100,000-square-foot amusement centers will focus on Netflix's most successful properties, offering immersive story-driven experiences, a retail component, and a restaurant called "Netflix Bites." The Philadelphia location will feature a large-scale immersive experience based on the show "Wednesday," while the Dallas site will offer experiences inspired by "Stranger Things" and "Squid Game." The entertainment hubs will also include virtual reality games, themed mini-golf, a theater showcasing Netflix shows and movies, and more. This move by Netflix follows the company's previous efforts in live interactive experiences and aligns with other tech giants, such as Amazon and Meta, that have ventured into the world of brick-and-mortar retail.
